Funny quote...

I couldn't find the caricature of David Caruso when I did a Google for that picture, too bad. Instead I went by the Late Night website and found the joke Conan had in his monologue the episode when Amy Poehler and Christopher Meloni were guests. Here is the exact quote of the joke about Bush and Newsweek that made me laugh...

"President Bush says he is still angry at 'Newsweek' for a story they ran about army interrogators flushing a Koran down the toilet. 'Newsweek' is still angry as well and wants to know who read the story to President Bush."

I've also looked up that, 'Fever Pitch' is on Wednesday (tomorrow) at 21.00. When I saw that I immediately thought.. I must remember to tune in the TV to watch it, because I like Colin Firth and I think he is a gifted actor. The drawback is that 'Fever Pitch' comes on same time as the season finale of 'Lost'. I'm not abel to see both, because I don't have a VCR to tape one of them. Got to figure out the best solution of this dilemma.. without missing out on either one of them. I would also like to see Jimmy Fallon's 'Fever Pitch', because I really think he would be great in the role as a Red Sox sports fanatic.

CSI:New York...

It was a good episode of CSI:New York tonight. Gary Sinise is a very talented actor, but I'm not really convinced if I like him as Mac yet. We aren't even halfway through the first season, so I have to give him some more time. I'm also a bit curious about Sinise taking on this role in a spin off TV-serie. It's not like him doing this kind of work, but I guess it might have been stupid of him to turn the offer down too. I kind of like CSI:Las Vegas best of all the CSIs that have been made so far. On the whole I watch alot of different crims. Bruckheimer have done another crim called 'Cold Case', not sure of the original title of the serie, anyhow.. I think that one is good too, but I don't follow it on a regular basis; that goes for CSI:Miami too.. I'm not very fond of the actor David Caruso, but this spin off has a better story arc so I enjoy watching it anyway. But Caruso's head tilt make me get a sore neck by just watching him. I saw somewhere on the internet a caricature of him and his head tilt was disportionated. I think he had to lean it on a wheel-barrow or something. Wish I could remember where I found it, but it was so long ago. I feel a google search coming on..

A few minutes left before Late Night with Conan O'Brien (23.20) is on TV.. that leaves me with some time to post a wonderful poem I found at the library earlier today. I don't write any myself but enjoy reading others. Sometimes I borrow books with poems and find one that I can use as a mantra to calm me down when I'm stressed out. I got bad eating habits and stress way to much. I had ulcer already in my early twenties.. not good at all.

Another thing that makes me relax is reading a nice book and right now I'm going through Pearl S Buck's works. I began with the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel 'The Good Earth' which I finished a couple of days ago. This made me hunger for more and I got two new ones today.. 'Imperial Woman' and 'The Hidden Flower'. I'll do a review of the good earth on Sunday if I have time. Coming across a good book always makes me more interested in the author, so I made some research about Pearl. I'm surprised I haven't heard about her in school before.. For instance I had no clue she received the Nobel Prize 1938. I always feel sad when I realize I've missed out on valuable knowledge, but I guess it's better late then never.

Opsidaisy, now I have less then 10 minutes before Conan pops up on the TV screen.. I have to post the poem another day, because I need time to make a cup of chaï latte. To something completely off topic.. I must not forget that 'Fever Pitch' is on.. forgot the day and time already. Gosh, I'm getting old and senile at a very early age.. it bodes no good for the coming future.

New week...

It's a new week and lots of boring tasks to do, but also something fun to look forward too on Saturday. I will attend at my fifth Buffy Gathering.. hopefully it will make this week pass by quick. Time to be a clever student and stroll to the library, tata for now!

It's time for lunch and what do I do.. find me a computer at the library instead of actually getting me something too eat. Yesterday I realized at 20.34 that I hadn't eaten anything since breakfast.. I was apparently not hungry but then I had some popcorn and an apple while I was watching 'Courage Under Fire' staring Denzel Washington among others. He is a great actor but I didn't like the movie very much and zapped over to 'Fat Actress' with Kirstie Alley.. that wasn't anything to spend time on either. Then I remembered that 'The Wire' was airing.. so typical of me. At least I saw the last 15 minutes. Just when I'm writing this it strucks me that I also missed 'Little Britain'.. aaarrgh! Well, nothing I can do about it now. Tonight I will try to catch CSI:New York at 21.00.. I like crims and of course I will tune in Late Night with Conan O'Brien, which reminds me of that I haven't been to NBC's Late Night MB for a while..

Got to sign off because I have to get a couple of books that is due to return today and it's another library then the one I'm at right now. Don't want to pay a delay fee if I can avoid it. I should write a to do list for this week, so I won't forget anything important!

Mother's Day...

I'm doing a short entry in my blogg journal and I also took a few minutes to add a couple of new things.. testing if sound and moveable pictures are working. Looks like they do!

Today it's mother's day.. as I understand it different countries celebrate their mothers on different dates. Here in Sweden it's always the last Sunday in May. So congratulations to all mothers out there including my own sweet mother.. the most wonderful mother on this earth!

No beauty sleep...

I slept really bad due to that my neighbour above me had a private party, which didn't end until about 04.00 in the morning. I was lying in my bed and could here other neighbours bank on the wall wanting the noisy party to end. It's like this all the time and on a regular basis the student pub 'Penthouse' on the 6th floor (I live on the 3rd floor) is always open on Thursdays and Saturdays. Then on Saturday you could also go clubbing at the student club 'Playground', which reside in the basement next to the building where I live. As you probably are guessing.. yes, I live in a student dormitory. At start I didn't mind it at all, because I was participating alot in the different student activities and not being to serious with my studies. But as I've been getting older and wiser *lol* I value my education more and also I need my 'beauty sleep', otherwise I wake up all grumpy and fretful..

The only good thing that came out of all this, was that I was awake when Late Night went on at 00.50 (guest: Andy Richter, Matthew Fox) and I also catched a rerun of 'Victory begins at home' with Bill Maher. I really like Maher's quick-witted mind and his political sense of humor. Also it doesn't hurt that he has those cute dimples.. he should definitely smile more often. That goes for Conan O'Brien too.. I like when people smiles, who doesn't! Then I fell asleep of exhaustion in spite of the loud music from the student den above and missed a rerun of Late Night at 03.10.

It's so frustrating that the d@mn server where my old blog is hosted is down again and apparently will be during the entire weekend.. aarrrrgggh! I do belive that's the third weekend in a row now. So far this move over to blogdrive has been good, eventhough the actually move of all stuff is taking it's time.. in the long run I think I will be content with the change.

Lots of cut n' paste...

Went up pretty early this morning and I started to cut n' paste from the old blog. I realized that it's to much to move over here and also some of the stuff is obsolete, which probably ain't any fun to read anyway.

So, it will be some articles on general topics and a few recepies.. even though they aren't translated into english. I haven't had time to rewrite them in english yet. I guess that meens just a few people of those who find their way to my online journal can actually read, understand and get amused of what rubbish I've been putting down. Well, that has to be for now...

What I miss here is the mood smileys, but I could probably upload some of my own and use.. a later project for the future. Also I have to do something about the head image.. it doesn't fit this layout. I don't think I can make my own one and use, at least not if I stay with this free account. Got to dash off to the library now, tata you all 'onliners'!

I'm so tired already.. I didn't get much sleep because the pub on the 6th floor didn't close until about 02.00 in the night or morning, depending on how I look at it. The day has otherwize been warm and sunny.. but I haven't enjoyed it very much; I've had a migraine all day and is still feeling it. I'll try to get in bed not to late this evening and get up early tomorrow, so I have time to write a couple of work applications.

Getting started...

Today I have signed up to start my new online journal @ blogdrive, which meens I'm moving my blog from another blog hosting.. because that server is having alot of problems and it has becomed very annoying lately. I therefore hope my journal hosting @ blogdrive won't give me as much trouble.. I'll just have to see what happens. In due time I will have moved the old blog content over here, but that will probably take some time and right now that's what I don't have. Got to go for now.. I have to bake a White Chocolate Pie... yammie treat!

I'm back online again to make some changes with my new journal.. so far I haven't had any problems, but then I haven't started to transfer files and images from my other blog yet. Hopefully I'll get some sparetime to do that tomorrow before I have to leave and go to the study hall.

By the way, the White Chocolate Pie I made earlier today was sooo delicious.. it's to bad that a small piece contains lots and lots of calories. I don't think I have the energy to stay up tonight and watch Late Night with Conan O'Brien.. I'll catch the encore... Feeling very sleepy already at 21.58.

Quentin Tarantino...

All other love is like the moon,
Which grows and shrinks like flower on plain;
Like bud that blooms and withers soon;
Like passing day that ends in rain.

All other love begins in bliss,
And ends in tears and suffering:
No love can salve us all but this,
The love that rests in heaven's King.

For ever green, renewed again,
For ever full, it never pales.

It ever sweetens, free from pain,
Continues always, never fails.
